Bluenose II postcard from Canada

My dear friend Laura sent me this postcard from Halifax. She knows Bluenose is my favorite, in any form, be it stamp, postcard, etc.,

The postcard says it all, so no description needed I guess.

  1. Greetings,

This is Vin Heney writing, communications with Canada Post.

I thought the Ship Stamp Gallery might be a good fit for a very special story: On April 5th Canada Post will launch a stamp collection to mark the 100th anniversary of the Titanic disaster, as well as to honour Canada’s ties to the heroic recovery efforts. The stamps are a stunning and accurate depiction of the best-known ship in the world.

Paralleling the release of Titanic 3D, the stamps will be available on April 5th in postal outlets throughout Canada and on our website at: http://www.canadapost.ca/shop/collecting/commemorative-stamps/titanic.jsf?execution=e1s1. I have attached the link to the news wire below.

Feel free to email me for more information. I am in the office on Mondays and Fridays. Otherwise, please contact Eugene Knapik (eugene.knapik@canadapost.ca, 905-214-9414).

    Cheers!
